Bronze Fountain

Replacing our water heater.?

Unfortunately our 40gal gas water heater retired today. Trying to find a replacement for as little $$ as possible. After searching Craigslist I came across a seemingly super deal for a Titan SCR2 TANK LESS water heater new in the box for $100. However, ITS ELECTRIC! not gas. Would an electric water heater be out of the question and a ridiculous choice to make when we already have gas set up for our water? Would it be more costly to use electricity then it does gas? Im almost certain that the answer is YES but don't know for sure. I cant pass up a good deal when I see one but I don't want to end up with something I wont ever use. Like the massage table, potters wheel, copper Agave water fountain and the oh so necessary life size bronze Deer yard sculptor I seem to have acquired. More importantly I don't want to increase my monthly cost of living in order to take advantage of this particular DEAL. THX for any input you may have.

You also have to ask yourself what additional work need to be done to your existing plumbing to be able to use a tankless water heater. You can not just "swap out" one for the other.
