Oil rubbed bronze Vs Brushed Nickel for bath fixtures?
We are getting a new house and unable to decide whether to go with oil rubbed bronze or brushed nickel for bath fixtures. Does oil rubbed bronze retain more water spots compared to brushed nickel? Also is cleaning brushed nickel easier than oil rubbed bronze?
The baths have a background of white marble. So thinking that oil rubbed bronze will have a good contrast but worried that it might be difficult to maintain it when compared to brushed nickel. Please help me.
The white marble doesnt have any grey shades. It is pure white surface. Would the brushed nickel look dull on such a background?
With the right cleaner, both are simple to clean and maintain. If you wanted my point of view, go with the brushed nickle. Assuming that the marble is with grey undertones, the metallic look of the nickle would "flow" and clean up the surroundings. On the other hand if you wanted to "pop" bronze it.
