Is it just me or do Hindu statues seem a little transvestite to you?
I'm not trying to be prejudice but to me they look female but they are male! Like Shiva to me it looks like a transvestite standing on a baby with a ring of fire around her/him!! no offense intended i just want to know if anyone shares my opinion?

um Im a christian and Jesus had long hair so what so did everyone else in that time period!!! and Christianity isn't about appearance if so I'd be going to hell b/c i were skinny jeans and converses with tee shirts!!!
Shiva is commonly depicted in that way for it helps to visualize the Hindu belief that "the sacred ultimate power of the universe" is both Masculine and Feminine.
And about the "(...) standing on a baby with a ring of fire (...)" part, that statue is a representation of Shiva as the Nataraja (Lord of Dance).
