i was wondering if sea shell on australia is not a good business ... on other places sea shell business is great

It is absolutely forbidden to take sea shells in Australia. It should also be forbidden in the rest of the world. This practice has led to the near extinction of many species, including the golden cowrie and the conus gloria maris. Governments should legislate against sea shell collectingand should establish marine reserves where no fishing activity of any kind is allowed in odre to provide a reserve of species of all kinds. Wherever there in fresh water on an island people live there and in SE Asia (especially the Philippines) this leads to dynamiting and cyanide poisoning of the local reefs: leading to the reefs resembling a lunar landscape of dead concrete rubble. Wherever there is no fresh water on an island there are no people and the marine life is pristine. Sea shell collecting is passe and should be disallowed worldwide. NOone with any feeling for the environment should collect or buy sea shells
